MEPZ SEZ Attracts Strategic Investments of ₹800 Cr and 3,500 New Jobs

In a major boost to Tamil Nadu’s industrial growth, the Unit Approval Committee (UAC), chaired by Thiru. C. Arthur Worchuiyo, IAS, Joint Development Commissioner, MEPZ SEZ, has approved eight new projects. These strategic investments span the IT/ITES, manufacturing, engineering, and logistics sectors, bringing in over ₹800 crore and creating more than 3,500 new jobs. The approvals mark a significant step in strengthening Tamil Nadu's economic landscape. Among the key projects sanctioned are:

• M/s. PMI Global Technologies Private Limited, expanding operations in SIPCOT Sriperumbudur with an investment of ₹644 crore, generating 460 additional jobs.
• M/s. VVDN Technologies Private Limited, a newly recognized EOU, investing ₹101.6 crore to create 2,300 new jobs in Pollachi.
• M/s. Subeno India Private Limited, bringing in ₹4.77 crore and generating 180 new jobs at TIDEL Park, ELCOT SEZ, Coimbatore.

The UAC meeting also marked a milestone in inclusive growth, with the approved units collectively committing to hiring over 25 transgender individuals. This initiative underscores MEPZ’s commitment to fostering not only economic prosperity but also equity and diversity in the workforce.
