Chennai, 1st March 2026
The MEPZ Special Economic Zone successfully organised the 10th Edition of the MEPZ Run 2026 on Sunday, 1st March 2026, at MEPZ Special Economic Zone Campus, Tambaram, Chennai, marking a proud decade of promoting health, fitness, and wellness among the workforce and the wider community.

Thousands of enthusiastic runners took to the course in a charged atmosphere, making the 10th edition the most spirited yet. The event was flagged off by Chief Guest Dr P Vijaykumar IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police – East Zone, Greater Chennai Police, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Shri P Aravindan IPS, Zonal Director, NCB Chennai, Shri Samay Singh Meena IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Tambaram and Shri Alex Paul Menon IAS, Development Commissioner, MEPZ Special Economic Zone.

Among the most inspiring stories of the day was that of a 70-year-old cancer survivor who crossed the finish line as a winner in the 10 km category - a moment that embodied everything the MEPZ Run stands for. Her triumph was a powerful reminder that the human spirit knows no limits.

Winners across all race categories were felicitated with cash prizes, celebrating their dedication and performance on the day.

Now in its tenth year, the MEPZ Run has evolved from a workplace fitness initiative into a movement - one that champions inclusivity, resilience, and the belief that the journey to better health is one worth taking together.
